Award winning fire protection company, Guardian Fire & Safety has been awarded the fire protection contract at the new 5 star Upper Court Manor Hotel project in Freshford, North Kilkenny, the scope of which includes the supply and commission of a new Fire Detection & Alarm system for the multi million euro complex.
When it opens, the 60 + bed hotel comprising an original house and block to the rear, function room and a stunning roof garden will be protected by a network of Ampac FireFinder fire alarm control panels running the Apollo XP95 protocol detection and signalling devices as well as beam detection manufactured by The Fire Beam company.
The intelligent system will be based on a hybrid system using both wired and wireless technologies to meet the challenges presented by the original historic building.
Guardian Fire & Safety Managing Director, Brendan Stamp said “ Our core business of fire protection is performing very well and we have experienced steady growth in the hotel and hospitality sector in the past 18 months. With three hotel projects commencing this January we are looking forward to a busy first quarter. Because of our long history of delivering sustainable fire and life safety solutions to the hotel sector, we have a deep understanding of the demands of a busy hotel. We are delighted to be working with Upper Court Manor on this exciting development which I am sure will prove a great boost to Kilkenny and South East tourism”
